Today our world has changed. Today, the light shines brighter and life is beautiful. New life is beautiful, and it is with sheer joy Jenny and I announce Adley Belle Couch into the world. The Father dreamed a dream of a little girl who would be His friend and a friend to the hurting and the broken - a girl filled with light and truth and who understood and helped bring about the plans of His heart to bring redemption to the whole earth. The Father has so many dreams like this, and we are awestruck and privileged to now be holding this dream come true in our arms.
Adley (AD-LEE) means "the justice of God" in Hebrew, and Belle (BELL) means "Beautiful" in French. We've named her this because of the great passion God has put inside of us for His "beautiful justice" to be released on the earth. Man's justice is too often temporary, fading, and in the end, often left wanting. God's justice, on the other hand, is redemptive, restorative, eternal, and reflects who God is as Bridegroom, King, and Judge. His justice is beautiful, because its' really right - completely without fault. May Adley Belle's life be a witness to that great day when Jesus Christ will bring His beautiful justice to earth in fullness as it is in heaven!
Adley was born at Menorah Medical Center on August 12th, 2009 in Leawood, Kansas. Mom and baby are doing fine, and I'm an emotional wreck :) Many more stories, pictures, and adventures are sure to come over the next few days and weeks - and in the meantime, welcome to the brand new GoTeamCouch.com!
